My service provider, in their wisdom, decided to cancel my account - even though it had been paid. This meant having to start a completely new account and then wait for a technician to come to reconnect everything. What I don't understand is if they can shut it off remotely why can't they put it back on remotely? I had to wait for 4 days for the only technician they have for my area to get here. It was going to be longer, but I had stressed to them that I do work online (which I do) and I couldn't go without a whole week of no work! It is all back up and working, thank goodness, but I still don't have access to my email, which was linked to the old account. Hopefully they will be able to transfer it over, most of it will be junk mail anyway. Thank goodness I have also have a Google Gmail account. And thank goodness for smart phones.
