Hello dear readers, hope you are all feeling well. There’s quite a few bugs going about the place at the moment so I do hope that you’re all lurgy free, but if you’re not I do hope you feel better soon.
Wednesday is usually WIP day but not today. Oh no, today it is a FO day. I know that it should probably wait till FO Friday but I really can’t wait till then. It’s finished, at last, yes the Boyfriend Hoodie is finally done
Hoorayyyyyyy. I was hoping to have it finished last weekend but I ran out of yarn 3/4 of the way whilst working the hood. I had to wait till yesterday when I went to my knit group so that I could buy an extra ball. Worked on it while I was there and ended up completing it yesterday evening, just before dinner.
The relief was amazing. It really was becoming the bane of my life, purely because it was so difficult to get the correct tension whilst making it, as it called for the measured tension after blocking and not before as is customary. Still, I got there in the end, a bit like British Rail
Wanna see it?? OK, here are some piccies.
I’ll have to take a couple of piccies of my son wearing it, so I’ll have to nab him when he gets in from work.
Here’s the final breakdown
Pattern: Boyfriend Hoodie by Shannon Mullett-Bowlsby
Pattern Source: Inside Crochet 11 (November 2010)
Size: 36″
Yarn: James C Brett Woodlander DK (7.5 balls)
Shade: L4
Hook Size: 4.5mm
Total Cost: £21.85
Well, as I now find myself with nothing on my hooks or my needles, I’m off to check my stash as I’m pretty sure I’ve got some yarn earmarked for a couple of projects. TTFN.

I like it! I love how the yarn radiates from white all the way through to darkest grey/black. Bet your boy will love it!
it’s proper comfty, thanks mum
hello there, have just been looking at your wonderful boyfriend hoodie. I’m a bit confused about the starting chain. Its states that you have to make 60 foundation htr. But 60 doesnt seem enough. Could you let me know if this is correct or whether there is a misprint in my Inside Crochet magazine.Desperate to get this started for my daughter but want to be sure that the number of stitches is correct. Hope you dont mind me asking you. Thanks. Marlene.
