New Online Craft Marketplaces
I’ve just signed up to 3 new UK based crafter marketplaces. You can now find me at Folksy, MISI and Coriandr.
I’ve listed only a couple of items for the time being. I’ll add some more over the next few days. I’m not too sure what sort of response I’ll get but hey, it’s another way of generating business, in addition to eBay and DaWanda.
I’ve not had much success with DaWanda. I’ve made one sale since January when I joined. Then again I haven’t really been poulating it properly. I think I listed too much too soon. It seems that one or two items every few days is the way to go with these craft sites. I think I’ll have to revisit my listings at DaWanda.
I think I did the same thing… to eager to get on with it and listed everything in a few hits! I’ve found since then that the promo bags pull people in occasionally… maybe you could send me a few more cards? And once you have rejigged your store I could do a feature on you again for the blog??
I also have some general gift bags that I make up for my return customers (the one’s from my supply shop…), maybe I could add some in there too? I’m hoping to get rid of a lot before Christmas! Maybe even a promo sample, if you have the time and money.
I’m on Folksy, but only as a buyer at the moment… I’ll keep an eye out for you!

Do you have a preference out of the three UK marketplaces so far? I’ve noticed all of them but don’t know which ones to try out.
At the moment all three are free to list and you just pay commission on the final sale. I would therefore just give them all a try. List a few of your items and see what happens.
I notice you use Etsy which has been around for a while. You will probably find there’s not too much exposure for Folksy, MISI and Coriandr at the moment. But as they say nothing ventured, nothing gained.
