2008 Resolutions
Well it’s getting towards the end of the year and it’s traditionally the time when we take stock of our achievements.
2007 for me was the year I took the first step taking candle making from a hobby to a business. I think I left it to late for Xmas craft fairs but this will be something I’ll address for 2008. I do need more exposure for my business so I’m going to run off some flyers and shop cards and see if that will bring more visitors to my website. We also have a local farmer’s market here, could be another outlet for me.
It is early days yet but I’m hoping to see some results in the New Year. I’m looking to expand my range for 2008. I need to perfect my pillars, my votives turn out beautiful so I just need to hone my skills on larger sizes. This means I’ll have to be extra nice to hubby so I can do some R&D
I would so love to work with palm but getting hold of it in the UK is a hard task.
Candle tins are another thing I’m looking to add next year. They are excellent for taking away on holiday. Why shouldn’t you have scented candles whilst your abroad. It’s just what you need to set the mood. All that sun, sea and sangria during the day - lovely sensuous aromas at night to get you in the mood. KWIM?
I think 2008 is going to see Cosy Candles gaining stability. I’m keeping very level headed about it all. I am very excited at the prospect of my new challenges but at the same time know that success isn’t going to happen overnight. To quote a friend of mine I’m not some speedboat racing to the finish line, rather a slow moving barge heading up the Thames.
